Yonge Centre for Performing Arts

The Young Centre was quite an enjoyable project to be involved with. The building became the anchor for a major renovation of an entire district of the City of Toronto. It's now known as the Distillery District, which, in the 19th century, was home to the largest distillery in the British Empire. It is now the home of a thriving arts district and a magnet for tourists.

“It’s got a very lively acoustic. Pianists and singers love this space.”

Albert Schultz,
General Director Soulpepper Theatre
